The Saint Emilion vineyards irrigated by the Barbanne and Dordogne rivers are located 50km North East of Bordeaux. The Saint Emilion Grand Cru shares the same terroir than the Saint Emilion AOC. The difference lies in the production requirements, with lower yields in Saint Emilion Grand Cru, in order to give more concentration to the wine.
