90/100: Wine Enthusiast

Could this cru, with a charming name, tell us about its home place, it would certainly do it with tenderness? The most northern wine from Beaujolais is largely located in the Saone et Loire department. The name comes from Saint Amateur, a roman soldier who adopted Christianise and founded a monastery in this area. The very nature of the Saint Amour terroir makes wines adapted to aging. However, some winegrowers shorten the maceration in order to make lighter wines, for a quicker consumption.
