Barastou Vins de France

Barastou  - Vin de France Rosé

  • Vins de France
  • Domain: Florent Descombe

‘Vin de France’ stands for 40 to 50% of the total French wine production. The legal appellation ‘Vin de France’ dates back to the 1970’s, when the first European regulations were taken. The label cannot state any specific area origin except France. Namely, ‘Vin de France’ can be a blend of any grape from any region of France.

BARASTOU: Its name sounds like the south of France. It could be taken out of a novel by famous south of France writer: Marcel Pagnol. Mainly produced in the South of France, Rose wines are obtained by a specific wine-making process, which can apply to almost all grapes varieties. Usually light and fruity, they match well the heat of the summertime and the easy food like salads and barbecues.
